X-rays or radiographs still form the backbone of the diagnostic pathway for many common problems in dogs and cats. They are simple, relatively cheap and fast. Often we may be able to perform x-rays within an hour and the results are immediate.

X-rays allow us to look at internal structures non-invasively. They are great for air-filled structures such as lung. X-ray is still the best modality to image bones such as when your pet is injured or has arthritis.

The world has gone digital and so have we. Digital x-rays enable use to adjust the exposure settings after the radiograph is taken as well as zoom in on a particular area of interest. This translates into far fewer exposures and less stressful handling and radiation for your pet.
