PESC has two separate operating rooms. An emergency theatre is located adjacent to the ICU. This permits emergency staff to transport sicker patients easily from their cage to the surgery area. This theatre is fully equipped and allows high quality emergency surgical procedures to be performed 24 hours a day. Specialists in surgery are on call and can come in for complex procedures as required.

The main theatre is spacious and allows excellent workflow having three separate patient tables suitable for all sized pets. This state-of-the-art room has been fitted with the latest ‘human’ fixtures such as operating lights, surgical suction, electrosurgery, hydraulic lift patient tables, digital viewing boxes, pass-through cupboards for instruments, viewing windows for visual access, advanced anaesthesia monitors, intraoperative patient warming devices...
