We have a mechanical ventilator which can be used to assist or replace breathing in animals who are not receiving enough oxygen. Your pet may be exhausted from the effort of breathing itself and require a period of time when that work is done by a machine delivering high concentrations of oxygen. Some animal are bitten by snakes which can cause muscle weakness. Others develop severe pneumonia and they require assistance to breathe whilst the underlying condition resolves.

We have a high quality ventilation unit that allows us to control, pressure and volume, permitting us to tailor the settings to each patient as an individual. Experienced nurses and qualified vets will setup and monitor your pet if you consent for this to happen.  Ventilation is expense and we aim to keep you updated with your pet's progress, prognosis for the future and associated costs.
