This three year old Maltese Shitzu cross was having difficulty standing normally on the front legs. Hard to see with the long hair but the wrist joints were twisted and not able to function normally. This is a common style of limb deformity that can be corrected with rotational osteotomies (we cut the bent bone and straighten it using an internal plate). This patient had staged corrective procedures and an excellent cosmetic and long term functional result
