‘Rharc’ Perconte was a 6 year old male hunting dog. He has several offspring and was leader of the pack on the owners farm. He used to be 55kg and prior to referral he lost 10 kg in weight and became weak in the raear limbs. He was diagnosed with spinal empyema (spinal infection) which was drained surgically. He received regular underwater treadmill sessional therapy and improved back to normal over the subsequent three months. Rharc lived another 5 years after spinal surgery and went on the sire more offspring.
